King Saud bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud (1902-1969)

  • Born in Kuwait (1902) and became the crown prince in May 1933.
  • Came to power after the death of his father, King Abdul Aziz (Novimbr 1953) and became king.
  • He was buried in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, his hometown.

  • The establishment of the Ministry of Education; which is concerned with the building of schools in all cities and villages; and universities (such as King Saud University) in all governorates of the Kingdom (and the College of Petroleum and Minerals in Zahran) with the establishment of schools for girls during his time.

  • Development of airports, roads and the establishment of a railway between Dammam and Riyadh.
  • The establishment of King Abdul Aziz Military College.

His death

He died in February 1969 and was buried in the city of Riyadh, may God have mercy on him.
