King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud
Born in Riyadh in 1920, and died there in 2005, may God have mercy on him.
His life in brief
- He was educated at the School of princes in Riyadh and the Scientific Institute in Mecca in English.
- Appointed interior minister and deputy prime minister in the reign of his brother, King Faisal bin Abdul Aziz.
- Appointed crown prince in the reign of his brother, King Khalid bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud.
- Came to power in July 1982.
Meaningful and constructive achievements
- Establishment of King Fahd Complex for Printing the Holy Quran in Medina.
- Created the Ministry of Dawa (inviting people for Islam) and guidance for the deployment of the Islamic Dawa at home and abroad.
- Created and Ministry of Civil Service.
- Opened King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and King Fahd Airport in Dammam.
- Expanding and reconstruction of the Two Holy Mosques and Ka’aba.
- Stating the modern Constitution of the Kingdom.
- Expanding the roads.
- Died and buried in Riyadh in August 2005.
